6-OXO is a steroidal aromatase inhibitor, known as a suicidal inhibitor because it permanently binds to the aromatase enzyme. It is used for its anti-estrogen boosting effects.

6 OXO has been well studied in men and the original manufacturer of 6 OXO, Ergopharm Inc actually paid for quite a few studies in both men and rats. The most telling one was done by Incledon, which studied 6 OXO in doses of 300mg in healthy men, then measured the effects.

6-OXO, better known as androstenetrione (4-Androstene-3,6,17-trione), is a popular testosterone booster and estrogen blocker. It’s most commonly used among bodybuilders as a post-cycle treatment after exogenous steroid use in order to “jump-start” the body’s natural production of testosterone.

4-Androstene-3,6,17-trione (4-AT; also marketed as 6-OXO or 4-etioallocholen -3,6, 17-trione) is a drug or nutritionasupplement that may increase the testosterone- estrogen ratio, but has no proven effect on body composition.Its use can be detected in urine.

4-Androstenetrione is a potent irreversible aromatase inhibitor that inhibits estrogen biosynthesis by permanently binding and inactivating aromatase in adipose and peripheral tissue.Aromatase is responsible for the conversion of testosterone to estradiol.

1. Less testosterone is converted into estrogen, inhibit aromatase enzyme;
2. Lowered estrogen increases the pulsatile release of luteinizing hormone;
3. The decreasing estrogen also suppresses SHBG;
4. Increases free testosterone levels

The common dosage range is 300-400 mg/day, though some may dose higher.It was used in 4-6 week cycles, with a mild over the counter post-cycle therapy to follow such as an all-in-one test booster and estrogen blocker.
